It can be a challenge to find all of the right Christmas gifts, let alone filling stockings with items that will make your family happy. You have very little space and no one wants it half full. More than finding items that are small enough, you have to make sure you do not spend too much money. Filling a whole stocking could get pricey, but it is probably better if you choose inexpensive, small objects that will still make recipients happy. For young boys, give toy cars, candy, and action figures as gifts. For girls, give lip gloss, hair barrettes, and again, candy as gifts in their stockings. For a teenage girl, try mineral foundation or mineral make up. This is healthier for their skin because it is natural.

If your family loves Christmas traditions, fill family stockings with traditional stuffers. loved oranges, popcorn balls, and gold coins filled with chocolate. These items are very inexpensive so they can overflow with gifts. Imagine the joy in your child's eyes when they dump out a stocking chock full of treats. And the stocking hung on the mantle will look classic filled with these classic items.

A homespun Christmas is a popular tradition. Instead of relying on department stores for presents, spend the time leading up to the holiday hand making items your whole family will love. If you are concerned that Christmas will not be nice enough with only homemade items, fill the stockings with items to share your talents without disappointing eager children. Make unique baubles like ornaments, jewelry, and stickers. For extra excitement, tell the children Santa created these items especially for them. You just may these items are most remembered in years to come.

If you are really feeling creative, consider not only filling the stocking with hand made gifts, create the actual stockings. Stockings are simple to craft. You can choose a design that suits each member of the family, or you can have a family shopping trip and allow each member of the family to choose their material. You can buy items such as ribbon, buttons, sequins and sparkles to make your own stocking.. Little girls will love being greeted Christmas morning by a pink or lavender satin stocking sprinkled with sequins and sparkles! And boys will be excited by a stocking featuring tractors, trucks, or cowboys. Each member in the family can get in on the act. Craft stocking for parents and family pets, too. Remember to write on each stocking with each person's name or initials.

Christmas is a great time to bring the family together and enjoy Christmas. You can place the stockings by the mantle and view them every time you look at the roaring fire. If you do not have a mantle or fireplace, find a place on the wall near the Christmas tree to hang the stockings. If all else fails, hang them from a windowsill or or on a pole. If you have young children, put the stockings within reach. Children will enjoy looking into their stocking Christmas morning and emptying them of all the goodies. Creating stockings and loading them full with unexpected or traditional presents will make Christmas morning a delight.
