For anyone who is in the selling game finding a great way to get the name of the company on the lips of prospective clients sometimes becomes too difficult. Car dealer marketing is just as hard and there are too many car dealer websites out there competing for a shrinking group of customers. However, there are several hosting companies who take on the challenge of finding those prospective clients at little extra cost tot he client. What happens is that the host company will have several other sites to place different ads on. They may also have several articles or testimonials written so that anyone who wants to buy a motor vehicle can read and decide whether or not to go on to the main site where the full range is available for them.

The great thing about this kind of advertising is that the vendor will only pay for the 'hits' that he gets on his particular products or services. That is, within the articles and testimonials will be key words and phrases (usually written in blue and underlined in some cases) that the prospective customer can click on to take them to the main site where he will be offered some good deals. This is called 'pay per click' which means that the vendor will only pay a small amount each time the blue words or phrase are clicked and moved onto the site. This makes much more sense than paying for blanket advertising in newspapers and the media which may not be what he wants. He can also keep track of how many people are finding this kind of advertising interesting and change or alter the ad to make it more attractive to the viewer.

For example, if the company is selling utility vehicles, then it is a waste of time to put these ads in up market sites where people will want to buy up market vehicles that are expensive. Similarly, those who are selling top of the line vehicles will not want to be seen on some sites since it may hurt their image with the elite. This is a form of targeted selling which puts the onus on the prospective buyer to follow the lead until he finds what he wants. After all, who would click on something that they have no reason to buy?

It has been noted of late that far more people are taking notice of other customers and anything they have to say about a product. Having testimonials which talk of the product are a great way to advertise the said product and by highlighting certain key words, the viewer will want to know more.

Indeed, many people with internet access will not buy anything until they have done their own investigations throughout the world which leads to consumers being far more knowledgeable about products than they were in the past. These days they demand to know the up side and down side of any particular product before they commit to any kind of contract. This may not look good to some vendors but once the consumer has done their research, they are far more likely to buy something bigger than they have done in the past.
