The tuneful instruments used in Beijing opera includes mainly of wind instruments, stringed instruments and percussion instruments. The main musical instruments is jinghu, a two-stringed bowed instrument; yueqin, a four-stringed plucked instrument with a full-moon-shaped sound box,; sanxian, a three-stringed plucked instrument, suona horn, flute drum and other percussion instruments like large-gong, cymbals, tiny-gong and many others.

Every costume is a masterpiece of art and craft. The costumes used in Beijing Opera are graceful, elegant and bright. It truly shows the beauty of traditional Chinese embroidery like surface embroidery with gold or silver threads; woolen embroidery with silk and gold threads and many others. Each costume is said to take months or even a year by a handicraftsman to finish the best designs and patterns.
