America has always been know to use a lot of energy compared to other nations, but is now becoming know as one of the world's leaders in developing alternative fuels.
Current headlines about such things as Global Warming and renewable resources have helped to bring to the forefront of American's minds the need for more efficient methods of transportation and other big energy users. This has caused the launch of not only more fuel efficient cars, but large appliances as well.
The United states is now working on plans and infrastructure to help harness the power of alternatives such as wind, solar and even bio-fuels. Both government and private corporations are also researching different, low cost but efficient ways to distribute this next generation energy.
Interesting and exciting advances in Wind, Solar and Bio fuel are some of the driving forces behind the new movement. People who grew up hearing about these technologies are now grown up and ready to make them work for their generation. Folks want to have these projects effect their everyday lives.

The return on investment, or RIO or even more important , the time it takes for this technology to pay for itself, seems to be shrinking as well. In the past the payback period could be as long as 10 years or more. Even when good for the planet the average person could not afford to participate.
These new advances in green technologies are now affordable to the average consumer and may be soon as common to see in the local hardware store as a hammer and nails. With decreased cost and increased benefits, we may all soon be able to enjoy cleaner air and lower energy costs.
