It is a very robust bike, the chassis is design together so good that you never turn over due to chassis built quality and as long as you put it together the right way, it should be very safe for extremely long time.

I like Schwinn Meridian because the bike is really nice looking and sturdy. It's a big but easy to maneuver in tight spots and traffic, no worries about potentially damaging late-night crashes. Basket is great - nice payload and folds down flat too...perfect to load up for a picnic or beach ride or shopping. I am very happy with how tough it is and how easy it is to pedal. I have two young healthy dogs that want a lot more practice then I could give them.
