A Guide To Healthy Living

Up and until very recently I was someone who would read just about everything I could find on health. To be honest it was driving me absolutely crazy, you see, I am a health fanatic. It's probably easy to understand because I was hugely overweight and after losing it and getting as shape back then perhaps you can understand why someone becomes obsessed with staying that way.

Any articles on health I could find to help with my fitness, diet, supplements to help prolong life, I would read them. That's all changed now though because when I read an article on health now I just get angry because they keep changing their minds about what is good or bad for you. You never know what to believe a prime example was that about the benefits of soy which was heavily promoted one day then ridiculed the next for being responsible for food allergies, amongst others. There's no mystery for me as all I want is the ideal way to stay fir, have a healthy diet and live for a long time.

You see it becomes very confusing when each and every article on health you read has a different answer to the same problem. Until recently, alcohol was thought of as bad for you, as were chocolate, and coffee. Now it turns out that wine is good for you, beer is good for you provided it is dark beer, chocolate is good for you if it is dark chocolate, and even coffee has been found to have some health benefits when used in moderation. Tomorrow, they will be saying that ice cream and cheesecake are the best options for creating a low cholesterol diet!

All that has come from this as far as I am concerned is a general disbelief of anything these so called health gurus say and I'll look after myself than you very much. Of course it won't stop me reading articles on health but in future I will decide how much of it I take notice of.

At the very best, articles on health can give me some health tips that will help me figure out how to exercise, and how to eat right, but the rest is just me listening to my body. Living a healthier life and being happier is what is really important to me so with a bit of luck I should be able to achieve this mostly on my own with very little help form experts.
