Hemorrhoids Home Treatment - 4 Easy Home Treatments You Can Use for your Hemorrhoids
Hemorrhoids are engorged veins in the anal canal. According to doctors, there are two kinds of hemorrhoids, they are internal and external hemorrhoids. If your hemorrhoids are inside your anal cavity then you have an internal type of the condition. Likewise, if the swelling is near the opening of your anus, then you have an external type. Hemorrhoids can be caused by a lot of factors, but the most usual is if you always over straining yourself during bowel movement, if you are obese and pregnancy.
However, even if it sounds really fatal, hemorrhoids can be cured. You can either have them surgically removed, which is very painful by the way or you can use home treatments to reduce the size of your hemorrhoids and eventually get rid of them. Below are just some of the home treatments I personally used for my hemorrhoids.
Aloe Vera - aloe vera has been used since ancient times because of its antibacterial properties. You can use aloe vera directly to the infected area; it will relieve you of the itching and the pain caused by the swelling.
Alum - You can dissolve 1 teaspoon of powdered alum in water then you can apply it directly to the infected area
Horse Chestnut - is one of the most popular natural remedy for hemorrhoids, it promotes blood flow, growth of connective tissues and decreases swelling. However, please do not use horse chestnut if you have kidney or liver problems. Please do not also use it if you are pregnant or breast feeding.
Eat High Fiber - try to include high fiber foods like whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts in your meals. Fiber helps our bowel movement so you don't exert too much force during bowel movement.
