The term brush is generally described for any hand held tool that can be easily operated to remove any debris, dust or dirt. Usually it will have some sort filament or bristles to do the job. It is one of the most basic, simple and ancient tools used by mankind for a long time to clean anything from ones house, animals like horses or cows.

It is a tool that has been found in some shape or form in just about every culture in the world. The most common design in all brush's is some sort of fiber taken from a plant or hair from a animal like camel or horse hair and attached to a piece of wood with some sort of adhesive or sometimes it is clamp together with a piece of metal.

Some of the other uses for brushes include combing of hair or to apply paint on houses or some art work. the design of each brush is specific to what type of job it is designed for, a hair brush will be a different design compared to a tooth brush and so on. Even within a design there can be differences for example painting brushes.

But mostly brushes are used for the purpose of cleaning. As mentioned before brushes are designed for a specific cleaning job. The type of brush that is used to clean ones teeth will not be same one uses to groom an animal. We can see that if there is cleaning involved then there is specific design of brush involved also.

The specific design we are talking about is the lint brush. This type has been designed to clean ones fabric or fabric coated furniture. Whether it is wool, silk or any other fabric using a brush makes the job easier. This type of brush usually comes with a sticky surface attached to it which can be rolled to pick up debris.
