There are many angry teens in the world, but then you still need to ask whether or not your teen is one of them. And my guess is that you are wondering if your teen can be classified as an angry teen because when he was a child there was just no way that you thought that your little precious would grow into the strange person that he is becoming.

These ideas are not the only ways to tell if an anger problem is there and needs to be treated, however if these two symptoms are present the signs are that you should look further into sorting out your teens' anger.

Physical fights

How much does your teen get into actual physical fights with other people? Just for the record, there are some teens that never get into fights. And then there are some who fight as if it were on a regular schedule. It is sometimes as regular as once a week and sometimes even more than that.

It is true that there are some who are playfully involved with fights, but then there are some that fight with a passion to hurt someone. If this describes your teen, do him a favor and let him learn to manage or control his anger.

Losing temper

What is necessary for him to lose his temper? Can a small issue set him off? When he does lose his temper, how long a time does he need to calm back down? Is it too long?

These are the type of questions that you will need to have answered so that you can make a good decision concerning this matter. If your opinion is that he lets go of his temper for small reasons, and he is angry for too long, then you should look at the situation as if a problem is there.

He may feel as if the way he controls his temper is normal, but you are still trying to give him direction and shape his outlook. Just get him to understand that you feel as if something is wrong and you want him to learn anger management principles so that you know that he knows what is involved or required to do things in a better way.
