Well there is not a definite answer. It is one of those careers that you will get out it what you put into it. Working at home has many benefits, but it does have it down side, as well. That does not mean that you have to give your work away for free but you do need to able to take criticism about something that you created. Use the criticism to create a better product and never take it personally.
Your work should be flawless. There are times when you may not give the client exactly what they are looking for regarding content. That is bound to happen to every writer several times in their career. However, they should never return your work because of spelling or grammatical errors.
Writing is a natural talent and those that are gifted in this way will not have any trouble creating content and finding their niche to excel in. Almost all content writing is non fiction but there are areas that may be more appealing to you than others.
Keep building your portfolio. Save writing samples and get references. Find out if there is a certain niche that you may feel more comfortable in.
