There have been some statistics coming out Utah about the Latter-Day Saints Church. Why Utah is so prominent is because 70% of the population there are of the Mormon faith. Whats even more interesting is that 94% of the state is white and other interesting factor is that Utah has claimed the title as being a very dangerous place.

The Mormons take great offense to being referred to as a cult. Yet that the true meaning of the word cult is a system of religious worship. One thing you will most likely find that at some point in time you're going to run into a Mormon missionary who is going to talk about their beliefs as they are quite zestful in their recruitment. Most often when people think of the Mormons they automatically linked them to polygamy. It should be remembered in fairness to the Mormons about polygamy in the current day of age is not practiced. That is not to say that perhaps years ago that it didn't exist. Rumor has it that that particular part of the doctrine was changed when government officials were considering taking action.

It must be quite difficult for Mormons to be constantly challenged about their religion. It doesn't matter whether it is a senior of the church or a young Mormon missionary. When one listens to a young person particularly about Mormonism it is not hard to see that they totally believe in what they stand for and have every right to promote their beliefs.

There is no doubt that it is easy for others to be critical of another's religion. There has been a great controversy over the Mormon religion which is officially known as the Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints. For a young person that is part of the Mormon missionary being in school and being of this it can be quite trying. Most often even those that are closest friends that are non-Mormon cannot understand why someone would want to be involved in such a religion that has such a on Orthodox doctrine.

One of the important things that have long been a part of the church ceremonies and the Christian religion as a whole are Church candles. They are often used to represent many things about the Christian religion. For instance, for the Catholics, the candle can represents the body of Christ.

Every religion has its own place of worship. It may be called a church, temple, house, or sanctuary. For example in accordance to the Mormon religion how the word temple actually came about has been lost in history. The basis of the word temple is to look at the root name from the Latin language which when translated means for something that is measured and plotted. In respect to the Mormons their temple is used for carrying out all of the ordinances that is part of their religion. The whole concept is that the ceremonies are the pattern for mainstream living and for the pattern of life. Followers believe all things which are covered within the temple. Their belief is that life is everlasting. The temple is much like the traditional Christian churches in the respect that individuals can go there for solitude and to have a relationship with God as they know it.

For Christians, the first communion is important and equally important would be the dresses, the gifts, the communion plate and other paraphernalia needed for this important moment in your child's life. Most of the time, children go through first communion at the age of seven.

Almost every religion that has the exchanging of rings and a wedding ceremony has some official way that they follow. This is not the case with the Mormon weddings. In fact there is no exchange of rings at all. There is however many of the Mormon couples that want to and will do so in a ring exchange after the ceremony. Basically it is set up in their own ways for doing this because there is no formal doctrine to be followed to give them any guidance as such in the actual wedding.

If one wants to discuss equal rights among men and women when it comes to their religious faith then one would probably find that the Mormon church would be guilty of being sexist although the Mormons themselves do not feel this way. They do state that there are different roles for men as opposed to women but they do not consider this as being sexist. It comes down to basically the strength of the men and women as considered by the church therefore they have different roles. It is believed that the rules are as such because of the expertise and the ability between the males and females of what they are best suited for. Again also it will come down to what is the actual interpretation of sexism.

Being a dedicated Christian means that you also consider your Bible as one of the most important things in your life. Thus, it is no surprise that you would want to take care of it by using Bible covers.

Mormons are so different from true Christianity - evangelical Protestantism. Why do they say they are Christian?

Most churchgoers take their traditional church bulletins for granted. Hence, they resort to other forms or means to grab the attention of their churchgoers and let them know of any upcoming events or special announcements that need to be circulated within the church community.

Those that support the Mormon religion will value the background basics that the Mormons stand on. They believe in large families and it is a ruling that when a young man reaches the age of 19 years to dedicate two years of his life free of service in order to be a missionary and preach for recruitment of the church. There are many conservative lifestyles that the Mormon live and this is by choice. For anyone that is friends to a Mormon or is in contact with one that will be amused by some of their words! For example such as gosh dammit.

It would have to be said that with most religions when a new leader takes over that there are some changes always made. When it comes to the Mormon prophet Gordon Hinckley this is more than true.

Most individuals don't give much thought about the importance of Communion sets in today's world. For Christian churches, these are important items since they are used to share as well as represent the love and body of Christ.
