At the age of eighteen, my then baby brother and I were walking home from the park. He was in his stroller. The road was quiet. Just as we were reaching the place where we crossed over to the apartment complex, I heard a voice call my name. I knew we were alone. The baby couldn't talk yet. Just as I was about to cross with him, a van drove past us quickly. I got the sensation of someone or something pulling me back. I had just been saved by my spirit guide.

After that incident, I started listening for him. I had recently begun studying Paganism, and spirit guides fascinated me. I learned very quickly how to contact him whenever the need arose. Sometimes he contacted me. We learned to trust each other very quickly.

This was eleven years ago. Today, I do not have to contact him half as much. I've learned to trust that he will be there when I really need him. Has proven my trust on a number occasions in recent months. Without knowing his presence, they could have ended much worse than they have.

People who trust their guides like I do are more than likely get to the most out of having them around. They can get solid advice, and insight. They do not tend to be as stressed. They know they will be taken care of by a higher power. They can lead full, healthy lives.

Believing in a spirit guardian is no different than believing in a guardian angel. In fact, they are one in the same. I believe that it is a matter of preference what they are called. They probably go by many names.

I have come along way since the first meeting I had with my spirit guide. He has helped me in a lot of tough spots. Sometimes, he is just a really good friend. I can talk to him, yell at him, or even tell him I disagree. He does not judge me. They're not there to judge. When individuals learn to work with their guardians, they will see the full benefits. I know I do.
