This article is being presented as a means of encouraging others to review and learn of a man of God who has been in our midst, The Hon. Louis Farrakhan. Many in the world have taken the mainstream view of this human being, which turns others away from disgust as opposed to investigating the matter for themselves. It is past time that this view must change through proper investigation and research, because of the importance of the man I am writing of.

I am speaking to the broad spectrum of humanity when I speak of viewing The Hon. Louis Farrakhan properly. I write so passionate about this subject, because this man represents salvation to humanity to grow into their divine greatness.

On the Historically Speaking show with Munir Muhammad, dated March 10th 2002, the minister gave meaning to the word respect from it's Latin roots. He gave all who heard that day the root meaning of the word respect which in addition to honor means Looking Back and to return. I decided to conduct my own independent investigation into the definition to have proof for others who might doubt.

Dictionary.com states that respect means

"c.1300, from L. respectus "as regards," literally. "action of looking back at a someone," pp. of respicere "taking a second look, regard, consider," from re-"back" + specere "to look at"

He made his point towards a person who had been adversarial towards him by using this definition of respect. He taught that while we are breathing-living we cannot fully judge another person due to their life still being in transformation. Therefore, today's reality may not be tomorrows reality. So, this brings to mind why we must "look at" a person again and again. In addition, It would be wise to apply this perspective to our individual lives. We are all on the path of life which sometimes have ups and other times downs. Yet, through it all we are still writing our life's story each day we live. It is said in the Church, "God is not through with me yet."

In conclusion, this principle of taking a second look should be applied to The Honorable Louis Farrakhan, a human being whose life's testament is still being written. There are many people saying many things about him, but I challenge you to go to the source if you want to learn of him. This is a man who has been teaching the word of God for over 50 years and has as long a record in working to redeem the most lost of fallen humanity. He has given thousands of speeches, lectures and many interviews over the course of his ministry. Therefore, we have plenty of resources if we desire to learn what this man really represents.

The Minister, in conjunction, with his brother, friend and fellow helper in the cause, Jabril Muhammad, delivered to the world the definitive resource book for those looking to learn of him, his true position, teachings and mission. This book was titled: Closing The Gap. He refutes all false charges that he has been accused of in this book and teaches on so many subjects, which are beneficial to all. This book is the best source to learn of this man and what he represents.
