Many individuals believe in spirit guides or guardians. They trust them like the would trust a family member. Some even trust them more than that. There are lot of ways to contact spirit guide. These are just a few methods that have been tried and proven.

One of the easiest ways to get in touch with one's guide is to meditate. When one is meditating, they find themselves in other realms or planes. This feeling allows all mundane thought to drop, so that they can focus on spiritual matters.

Some people have started using astral projection. This practice has been around for many years. They find it easier to allow their spirit body to go where they cannot, which is to the astral realm. Some find it a bit controversial, as there is no physical prove suggesting that it can actually be done.

There are some who do not have enough focus for meditation or projection. These people sometimes go to a hypnotist. The hypnotist uses suggestion to put them under, and they follow it. During their unconscious time, they meet up with their spirit guardian.

Message boards are also used. There are boards specifically intended for the contacting of guides from other planes. These are not like the classic Ouija board. They are made differently, and usually sold in Occult shops. People like this method because they are allowed to be awake during the conversation, and are more likely to remember any advice they are given.

The guide will often times contact their charges themselves. They find it especially effective when their charge is spiritually perceptive. They'll use candles, lights, a room temperature, or a scent to get the attention of their charge. Sometimes they do it just let them know they are there for them.

When you contact spirit guide, it is important to listen if they try and talk to you. They will more than often have a message that will relate to a decision you are trying to make. They can also be a great support system if you need an outlet.
