Restai sveglio e vestito perché sentivo che quella notte sarebbe successo qualcosa, quando… alle 3,32 sentii un boato e uno scuotimento che arrivava da tutte le parti, (mi ricordava il luna park all’Eur, al cilindro della morte) dal pavimento, dalle pareti interne e dall’alto, vedevo le pareti della mia camera aprirsi come si apre una finestra, ma era il murle dicevo, cioè di alzarsi e di uscire prima possibile. La sensazione strana che provavo era che più passavano i secondi e più il terremoto aumentava la sua forza. E’ come se si mette in moto un’auto e uesta fu la sensazione. “Ecco è finita” pensavo, con mia madre bloccata e la casa che sentivo poteva crollare da un momento all’altro. Non ci fu niente da fare lei non volle sentire ragioni. Pretese di vestirsi prima di uscire (per pudore come capita a chi ha una età avanzata) ma una volta fuori pensai: “Se la casa fosse crollata saremmo morti tutti e due non avremmo avuto scampo”. La nostra casa ci ha salvato la vita, benché lesionata all’interno non e’ caduta, e ci ha consentito di uscire con grandi difficoltà ... "
