Writing Suspense Fiction Books Is Challenging
Take a good hard look at your favorite author. Then compare what you find with a couple of others. You'll see that underneath, there are similarities, but for the most part, it's the uniqueness of each of them that stands them apart. Creativity in creative people, yearns to be let out. Writing is one of the ways that it can make it's way into the world. If it's inside you, then don't look for it anywhere else. Learn how to tap into the creative flow that is distinctly and uniquely YOU.
Creativity is a different area of outlet for all people. Most creative people are affected by times and seasons. They have a bond with nature and the world and it's workings that is unlike what others experience. They tend to notice things and have a different take on what they see. Creativity is the formation of the world is based upon. Rhythms, cycles, and forces drive the creative person and push them to find things within themselves that reflect what moves them in the outer world.
Creative people also tend to be more moody. Because they're easily affected by their surroundings. Some are energetic and frantic, while others are tranquil and contemplative. Venting your creativity is a process that you need to learn, it fuels something inside that you just can't quite get your fingers on. But it drives you, pushes you to find a way to let it out. It yearns to, and needs to, be expressed.
I've found that I, like many others, prefer to write by a method known as Freewriting. This is also known as 'pantsing', which comes from the term 'writing by the seat of their pants'. This method is a great outlet for artistic expression, and allows you to let the creativity inside begin to flow. Even if what you're writing doesn't make that much sense, at least it's coming out. Before you know it, after winging it for a bit, you have your first rough draft.
This freewriting, of course, means that the first draft will be very rough indeed. From here comes the duty of hard editing. There will no doubt be many things that simply get thrown out, and new things added during this process. You'll also be able to spot some things that you want to improve on and embellish. This first draft is in now wise intended to be a perfect example of what the finished work will be, but it's a base to work from.
Even for experienced writers, the art of exposition can be tricky. Writers are always hearing 'show the story' instead of tell the story. You get to a point in your story where you have a need to 'EXPOSE' the plot, and there are times when you have to leave it up to your readers to come to their own conclusions. This can be a tricky undertaking to say the least.
Advice for writing suspense fiction books can be found readily available if you go online and search it out. It's a very involved process for some, and the different techniques that many successful authors use can take a lot of time to understand, and even more time to learn how to implement them into your writing style. Writing is one of the greatest creative outlets. So if you're one of these creative people yearning to set your inner creativity free, try your hand at writing.
