There will no doubt be many things that simply get thrown out, and new things added during this process. You'll also be able to spot some things that you want to improve on and embellish. This first draft is in now wise intended to be a perfect example of what the finished work will be, but it's a base to work from.

Even for experienced writers, the art of exposition can be tricky. Writers are always hearing 'show the story' instead of tell the story. You get to a point in your story where you have a need to 'EXPOSE' the plot, and there are times when you have to leave it up to your readers to come to their own conclusions. This can be a tricky undertaking to say the least.
